Weeks 15 & 16
Final Days
Our final days of the semester were spent finalizing the construction documents, creating a pull apart model of the building, a scale model of the proposed structural system and preparing to present to our clients and the Over-the-Rhine community.
There were final presentations total:
the Miami University Architecture end of the year show
the open house at Buddies place (Miami Unviersity Center for Community Engagement)
Walk through of the space and turning over the construction documents to Over-the-Rhine Community Housing.
As expected, due to timing and gathering funding for the project we were unable to see the physical completion of the project. Thus, instead our main goal was to make sure that the drawing set was as detailed as possible so that the repairs could be easily interpreted and completed by other parties. The future of the project will be carried out by students, volunteers and professionals
